A variety of flower color in the garden is usually the number one request when designing the perfect back yard. But flowers don’t have to be the only interesting thing. Many gardens come alive when designed to attract butterflies and birds. The easiest way to attract the colorful creatures is as easy as knowing what to plant. Butterflies are drawn to gardens that include English lavender, cone flower, shasta daisy, passion flower and bee balm just to name a few. If humming birds are what you love try including hibiscus, lilac, columbine, lupine, or cosmos.
